Class Structure

Hoosier Driving Academy's instruction consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction plus 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, all conducted by an Indiana State Certified Driving Instructor.  In addition to these required hours of training, Hoosier Driving Academy also requires the students to complete "out of classroom" projects, such as traffic observation, accident research, and other valuable learning experiences.  We also highly recommend that after the student has received his/her learner's permit, that they complete as many hours as possible driving with the help of a patient, observant adult.

Classroom Instruction
1.  Nationally recognized curriculum created by Glencoe, entitled Responsible Driving
2.  State of the Art instructional equipment including projection system, high-speed internet access for research, and video projection equipment for valuable training videos.

Out of Class Projects
1. Traffic study
2. Driver Manual study projects
3. Responsible driving survey and internet research project

Behind the Wheel Training
1. 6 hours of observation training
2. 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving

Adult Supervised Driving
